292 gearing?
So here it goes got a 67 C10 with a 292 4spd. I'm pretty sure that it has 4.11 rear end. I want some highway speed out of this truck and I'm keeping the 4spd in it, so has any of you guys put in a higher ring and pinion and if so what did ya use?

My 3/4 ton '67 with 292 had 4.56 gears so that is something you have to check on yours. I put 3.54 gears in the Dana 60 and with 32/33" 285/70R-17 tires it runs 70-75 on the hwy without issue.

If it were my project I would look into swapping in a gm 14 bolt semi-floating axle. With a minor driveshaft adjustment you can just about bolt one in and the stock ratio is 3.73 and on the later ones ('90s, that I know for sure) you can get a six lug pattern which will still be different from the front but you can still use the same size rims. The whole ordeal will cost you about the same as the that of a new gear set as the semi floaters are really cheap and no one wants them in favor of the giant full floater which in your case would be severe overkill. Just my .02.
