Clutch /scattershild help..

I am gonna try to put the motor and tranny in project old school this x-mas break,but need help on a few thing's.. What size flywheel and clutch /pressure plate should I be looking for.. Also what should I do about the clutch linkage do i need a aftermarket clutch fork?? Hs anybody here gone hydrolic instaed of mechanical?? Need some input and idea's.. Any help is greatly appreciated..

I'd use the stock clutch linkage if possible. Switching to hydraulic can be a real chore. Make sure it's going to clear your exhaust. There might be a problem if you have headers.

Do you have the proper flywheel / starter combo for the scattersheild? It could be a determining factor on which clutch you need

Starters for a manuel trans. usually bolt to the bellhousing instead of the block.

What are you using for a transmission mount?

Chances are a stock clutch will work for you.

Thank's I do not have anything but tranny and scatter shield.. I do have a starter that fit's into the hole of the scatter shild. Stock tranny mount seem's to work fine and I don't have exhaust at all... Thank's for the input..

Ohh ya I am gonna stay away from the hydro linkage also... Need to dig around for the stock z-bar and other assorted rod's..
