Help with fastening a 68' Bowtie Emblem on a 72' grill insert

I have come up with a couple solutions in my head of how to do this and the best I could think of besides a ziptie is to create a C shaped bracket that goes around the back of the grill insert and bends to fasten the bolt piece and nuts to the front of the bracket. I feel like it'd be the most durable.

I"m sure many of you custom guys have done something similar. Any suggestions? Will post pics of my idea once I figure it out.
