Post 78 heater cores

Need a heater core for my 78. I tore it all apart today just now. has A/C, wasnt the funnest one ive taken out, but not the hardest either, I hate how its inside the truck, instead of under the hood....

Will a non-A/C heater core work in the 78 C10? If not, why not ??
Can I make a 67-72 heater core work in this truck? Cab is junk, so if I have to cut anything to make it work, then so be it....
Just need heat for a few months till I junk the thing...
Thanks for any ideas....

Hook up for the heater cores is different on A/C vs non A/C. I haven't payed much attention to their sizes, but I would think they are different. I am sure you could "MAKE" anything fit if you have a big enough hammer and a blue wrench. <grin>

It isnt gonna work, that '67-72 core is way too big, and the pipes come out the side instead of the top, like the '78 core.....lol !
I have heat coming right off the engine now, hehehe, no box at all !!! Warmer than before in the cab !!!! And I can hear the engine very well now, sounds damn good !!
