Warning: Item may appear crappier then described

I tried to find some truth to what this guy was spouting out, but in the end, that slime green frame bolted to the rusted rear axle with the hodgepodge of body panels just pushed me over the limit.

Quote:
We hand sanded the frame of this truck, gave it 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of fast and furious green and 3 coats of clear. The frame is solid and shiny.
Except for the fading and the huge portions of paint that were removed by shoddy workmanship...

Quote:
When complete it will be like a brand new 71 Chevy. Only better.
No it won't...

I wish he would have just said that it was a project truck with a good start, and dropped all BS.

(j/k) That guy is full of it if he thinks he has a truck he could "mess up". I love the custom scratches on the frame; it takes time to replicate that aged look. And neon green, what color was the truck going to be?

Just when you think you're beyond being surprised at the stupidity of some people, up pops someone striving to attain a new level. Looks like the guy was trying to use up some left over farm implement paint to me. I think the guy needs to be bestowed an Honorary Truck Darwin Award, or and old dodge emblem, whichever is handier.

Just like a new 71 Chevy huh?.....I guess that neon safety green frame was something that came out after my 70. Must have been all those new safety regs that came out. I wonder if my 96 is that color under all the road grime

And, why is he doing the fast-n-furious "show car" treatment to a 3/4 ton???

Like was said ealier, if he'd just said "Started on the truck, bought lots of parts, lost interest, no money", he'd probably have a bid or two just because it would have been presented more honestly, than the "I'm building a show truck and no one I hired knew what they're doing so I fired them" story.

The "it developed a rod knock after it was pulled" part was pretty funny .

I am only selling the truck because I am in a financial crunch and my laborers that were putting it together, either quit working for me or got fired.

HAhahAhaaha, that's too funny... I think they were the lucky ones

I would say all of those parts are easily worth $1k though... Someone may just overlook the green and silly description and get a good foundation to start with.

Man, that is a sweet truck. I love how he tried to keep the original scratches on the neon green frame, attention to detail is the key to a great classic!!!

Who in their right mind would be interested in this - save taking the cab, bed, front clip, and chasis off the frame and having it sand blasted to GET RID of that horrid green garbage he's got on it.

I'd offer him $200 for the frame tops. In fact I might charge him $100 because of the trouble I'm going to have to go through to strip the frame and have it powder coated with something decent - and it WON'T be green.
