The engine I am buying has a holley fuel pump on it. We drove the truck maybe, 4 miles. Looked under the hood and the pump seemed to have oil on the top of it. Anybody else running one of these ever have that problem? It did have gas in the oil that was on top. My bro-in-law says the gaskets between the body and top piece is leaking. I looked on Summit and did not see a gasket or rebuild kit for this pump. Here is a picture, not the actual pump, but same one. Thanks

Everyone I have seen like those have been on a shelf in the owners garage where it was removed and a stock pump put in its place. I think I have one laying at the house my brother took off...

Ditto- Had one for 8 miles before it leaked, badly.

What would be a good replacement? This is a 383 engine.

A good replacement would be any stock pump from a parts store.

i have a 110gph holley pump, although it doesnt look like that one, but it does have a gasket in the middle that you can swivil to meet your placement needs

i'm never had a problem with it at all

Not sure if it would be the same in your area, but a fuel pump for my 85 Silverado was cheaper straight from GM than from the parts stores. I think it was something like $25 from GM, and closer to $40 from the parts store.

Never had a bad oil leak from mine, but when I replaced the engine part of the return spring fell out. The spring had broken and pieces of it were just lying in the fuel pump boss. I replaced it with a stocker and have had no problems.
