Re: HELP with glovebox emblems

there is no emblem on the cheyenne glovebox - it's blank, just paint, no emblem, aluminum backing or woodgrain (ala super). Not sure about a sierra - but since it's equiv to a cheyenne, might expect there isn't one. Need to let a gmc expert answer that for sure though - I'm only certain that cheyenne doesn't have one. I always thought that kinda odd too - earlier years had some stuff on them more often it seemed (i.e. 70 and earlier). Might be my imagination.

Re: HELP with glovebox emblems

Cheyenne and Sierra are the same thing. In '72 they were a trim level of their own (as well as Sierra Grande). Both Sierra Grande and Sierra were an option package ordered on a Custom or Super Custom in late-69-71. So,those trucks would have the Custom badge on the glovebox door.

Re: HELP with glovebox emblems

emblems are always on the right (passenger) side of the gb door I believe. I don't know about a custom D, was just answering the question about a cheyenne, which does not have an emblem. personally, I've never seen a 72 with any emblem other than the super. But also haven't seen many custom deluxes, so i probably just don't remember.

Re: HELP with glovebox emblems

There were no Custom Deluxe glovebox emblems. Just Chevrolet and GMC in 67/68,Custom (Chevy or GMC) and CST in 69/70,then Cheyenne Super and Sierra Grande on woodgrain in 71/72

My 69 custom/10 has a factory glove box emblem, Bought the truck from the original owner, all original truck, I dont think the 80 year old man put it there.

That's right and that's what I was saying, but maybe not clearly. I only mentioned CST specifically for 69/70 because 67/68s didn't get a CST emblem...they got the long Chevrolet or bottom right rectangle GMC. The only Custom emblem was 69/70,I just didn't specify.
