6 to 5 lug
alright well I want to convert my 68 C10 front end to five lug. I found a kit for the rear I'm going to install. I also want to convert the front and rear to disc, and I found a kit I want to use. I just need advice how to do the front 5 lug conversion, is there a kit? I do not want to use the 6 to 5 lug adapters.
Thanks. |

Re: 6 to 5 lug
I think there are kits, but you can somtimes find people on craigslist selling 5 lug spindles, rotors and calipers off the 72 trucks.those came with 5 lug disc on the front from the faactory.I think you need to change the ball joints too.

Re: 6 to 5 lug
I got a pretty good deal on the CPP modular spindle and big brake kit and it was very complete. The bearings were already greased and everything was assembled. You do need to watch some of the conversion kits though. Some will increase your track width by quite a bit. Up to 1 1/4" per side if I remember correctly. If your dropping the front it might get a little tight tucking the tires. That was the primary reason I went with the modular as they are actually in about 1/2" from stock.
