Rear as tank conversion...OK for lowered truck?

I recently went to the Turlock Swap Meet to buy a new rear gas tank conversion kit (72 blazer tank) for my 72 c10. Between the time the guy went to get the tank from the trailer and got back, some other guy convinced me those tanks hang too low for lowered trucks..and it would scrape. I did not buy it. So I ask the experts here today: Will the 72 blazer tank scrape if the truck is lowered 6" and riding on 20's with about 3" sidewall tires. I appreciate any feedback.
