Re: skip white dizzy

They ship out of middle TN. I bet you see it pretty quick. Friend of mine just bought one last week. Order off ebay on Saturday and had it Wed I believe. That was to TX. His was for a boat. We put it in yesterday and it performed great.

Are you thinking you may find an American made aftermarket HEI?

I got a dist from them a year ago and still no problems. Skip white has a battle going on with another HEI seller and he is determined to be the low price leader on HEI so take advantage of it. There is little difference in HEI dists under $100.

so i got it in the mail today well packaged and Im really satisfied in the condition that its in. i mean no scratches or chipped pieces rough parts. (ive encountered this too many times in the past, a long look over was a priority for me) haven't put it on yet but ill defiantly post how it runs. and about the whole Chinese stuff i have no problem putting it on my vehicle as long as it works and works well. of course the only real brand names come into play for me when its my race car. if it last then hell yea but if it doesn't im only out 52.00$ and thats ok.

Don't forget to read the instructions on teh vacuum advance adjustment. It takes an 1/8" allen I think.

Re: skip white dizzy

I agree for the price they are all imported. im more concerned on the bushing/shaft life than the electronics, but for the money who cares. I got turned off from chinese parts several years back when a local speed shop started pushing pp huricane intakes instead of edelbrocks. we tried one, opened it up and noticed one intake runner was cast 3/4 of an inch lower than the other 7.

when did you get yours? Mine sure could use a little more vacuum advance for idle quality and I wasn't aware it had that.
edit: mine has got to be the same, got it december. Which way do you turn the screw for more advance? Is it just in the vacuum nipple?

I got it a year or so ago. I put about 12k on it so far.

As I remember you start with the turning the allen all the way out til it stops then set the inital timing at book spec. then turn the screw in a turn or 2 and test drive. Do that till it pings amd then dial it back til it stops pinging.
