more header questions and such.

well i lowered my truck and all is good so far except that now my full length headers are maybe 2 inches from the black top. so i just bought some shorty ceramic headers but they dont seem to fit just right. i was plannin on maybe having to cut the frame but is this normal? what kinda of shorties are you people running? thanks guys.

Re: more header questions and such.

they kind i got were recamended by sandersons. there the same thing but a cheaper company. i just dont want to cut on my frame more than i have to. the driver side is seeming to be worse than the driver side too.

Full length Big Block Sandersons turn to allow you to tuck them up between the frame rails. Don't know about their small block headers.

Re: more header questions and such.

I have a 402BB and I sold my TRI Y's and went back to factory manifolds. The headers were lower than what I wanted. They were about 2-3" below the frame. Sanderson Headers seem to mentioned as a possible solution. Good Luck.

The point is when one pays to have a truck restored and then he tries to sell it....it is very difficult to break even. Of coarse if the truck has the famous "Corvette" option things would be different.
