Purchasing my seats today!!!
Someone in an earlier post alerted me to this company and I like the looks of their product.
I'm going with the seats below at: http://www.discountvantruck.com/truc...canClassic.htm They'll be in a "Moondust" Color in Leather. I'll be purchasing the Adapters and shipping is $89.99 (to the 48 states). If anyone else has seen/used this Company, I'd appreciate some feedback on your experience with them. FINALLY, No more sitting on a broken spring bench seat and leaning to the Left all the time! Roger "RATIKLE"

Re: Purchasing my seats today!!!
UPDATE:
I contacted the Manufacture on 10/16/09. They said the seats were shipping out on 10/19/09 and they would e-mail me a Tracking Number. I didn't receive that e-mail, so I contacted them on 10/20/09. She apologized profusely and said the Seats weren't done, but that they'd go out on Monday 10/26/09 and they would e-mail me a Tracking Number on Tuesday 10/27/09. She said they were in "Quality Control" and she would DEFINITELY E-Mail me Tuesday morning. Well Tuesday came and went with no e-mail/Tracking Number. So I contacted them on Wednesday 10/28/09 and was told they would definitely go out and I would be contacted on Thursday 10/29/09 with a Tracking Number. That day came & Went with NO CORRESPONDENCE and my e-mails that day and Friday...all went unanswered. So here it is the Weekend and they're closed, so we'll see what NEXT WEEK brings us. I'm not TOO Frustrated yet as the Original completion date was slated for November 17th, so anything BEFORE that is good. Its just that if you don't know where the seats are in the Manufacturing Process, then don't be making promises you can't keep! Roger "RATIKLE"

Re: Purchasing my seats today!!!
Seats were shipped out yesterday from Los Angeles and I'm 500 miles North of them (in Northern California) so I'm expecting them by the end of this week.
The only "Negative" I have is that there was a 2 week delay between when they 1st told me the seats shipped and when they ACTUALLY shipped. I think there needs to be better communication between Customer Service and the Production Department. I'll keep you posted on the Shipping and how they turned out and of COARSE there will be pictures posted at RATIKLE'S Website: http://home.pon.net/wwotr/my%201990%...0Super%20Coupe Roger "RATIKLE I did talk with Fed Ex today, and the seats were shipped out Monday 11/2 from L.A. and due to be delivered here (2 days later) on 11/4 !!! Although thats GREAT news, I'm out of town all that day and had to reschedual the delivery for riday 11/6. ;0( Roger "RATIKLE"

Re: Purchasing my seats today!!!
Received the seats yesterday!
They were packed beyond belief. Lots of Heavy Duty Paper and Bubble Wrap. Boxes were made of Industrial strength Cardboard. All instructions were clear and the seats look FABULOUS! I took 3 pictures, but that's all you guys get until I actually install them! The Trucks at the body shop and wont be back home for another 2-3 weeks. I'll tell you this though, so far, this is the best $1100.00 I've spent on seats. The company was in contact (well 98% of the time) and their product is beyond my expectations. So far, I would HIGHLY recommend them! ROGER "RATIKLE"

Did you get your seats put in yet? I'm thinking about ordering a set of these but I want to see how they fit first.

The Seats wont go in until after the Truck is back home from the body shop. I estimate, that will be at least another 2 weeks. You can bet your ass, when I install them, there will be FULL DETAILS/PICTURES posted here AND at the site in my "Sig" below. Roger "RATIKLE"

Re: Purchasing my seats today!!!
Those are pretty neat looking seats. It never even occurred to me you could get aftermarket seats like that for our trucks.
I really like the American low back version on the website. The middle arm rest looks pretty thick. I wonder if the gas tank interferes with it going back all the way when your using it as a middle seat? |

Re: Purchasing my seats today!!!
I emailed them today to see if they would sell a seat with no upholstery. They emailed back saying they cant do that, but they will use material I send them if it meets their safety standards. Would be done in their style though.
I already have a seat for my panel, but I really liked the way the center folds up and stays there without having to rest against the back of the cab. Looks like it also has rear cup holders in it when its folded down flat. Thought it might look cool in place of the bench Im using. |
