Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
Are these from a CUCV with Detroit Locker rear and Detroit Tru-Trac front? Just want to confirm what is meant by "posi" before going ahead.

Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
I now these are you're axles, but I can guarantee these didn't come from a M1009 Blazer. If they are Military they'd either be from a M1008 pickup truck with a rear Locker and a front posi someone installed or from a M1010 truck/ambulance (box type body on back) with a rear Locker and a front Tru-Trac. The latter is what I was hoping for.

Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
If they have the front posi than they're from a M1028, M1028a1, M1031 or a M1010,
they were NOT from a M1009 blazer. M1008s have the open front end.

Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
^ That's true. That's the full list of CUCV exceptions...or the less common forms,I should say, that were purpose-built and came with the Tru-Trac Dana 60. What I'd like to know is how to be sure. I'd suggest taking the front cover off and showing a picture. That's the only way I know.

Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
The axles don't belong to me. They belong to a friend of mine that lives around the corner. I offered to help him sell them by posting them on here. So I apologize that I don't know much about them. He bought them for his first gen Jimmy and decided not to use them. I emailed him your questions and he sent the photos below for you to see the insides with the covers off. He said the front spiders were welded. Have a look at the pics below and if interested, or if you have more detailed questions, give him a call…302-559-1626. His name is Mike.

Re: 1 Ton GM Axles
Ok,thanks for the answers. I'll pass. I already have a set with open Dana 60 and was only interested if these had the Tru-Trac. Good luck with your friend's sale.
