1967 SM-420 hard shifting into 2nd gear.

Doing full tear down and rebuild on 1967-283 corvette block. Decided to inspect internals in transmission as it is a difficult to shift down from 3rd to second gear. Can I just order new syncro ring and parts for this and install. I've noticed other GM and chevy trucks with the same problem with shifting down from 3rd gear. Double clutching makes for smooth shifting however it's tricky in high traffic.

Check with Novak. They're a good vendor always will to help with questions and lots of parts for SM-420's. They're Jeep folks and the crawler crowd likes SM-420's, which is good for us.

I second Novak...I have used their parts and adapters over the years with zero issues.

Yes indeed, called them today, they are located in Utah. Problem is I live in the Yukon, next to Alaska, shipping and exchange rate will be major.
