Pics of restored trucks with steelies and dog dish
I finally got my steelies, and real nice stainless dog dish hub caps. I'm planning on mounting bigger (maybe 33's) knobby tires and lifting around 3".
I'd like to see pictures of restored trucks with similar setup. |

What kind of steel wheels did you get?

Re: Pics of restored trucks with steelies and dog dish
Congrats on the steelies! I powder coated mine white... they've got 33's BFG A/Ts on them. Posting pics of the wheels - so you can see a white powder coated wheel. Since I don't have them on a truck... I will not post that pic (but you can view them on my burb in the galley, or I can post a pic). My burb has around a 3 inch lift.

Re: Pics of restored trucks with steelies and dog dish
Lookin' good Dougo!!!
Here are two of my 8 x 15 6-lug set for my '85 Jimmy: These are my 8.25 x 16.5s for my '72 K2500: These 9.75 x 16.5s I had powder coated in '91. They've only been dismounted a couple years...just an example how they hold up. These were on two different trucks and they would still clean up bright white: I have these for my '67 GMC project. They are dusty but very juicy red...8 x15: Here's a picture of an old truck I had them on:

Yes! Now that I look back through the chain of events, I see that you were the one that put me on the trail of these wheels! I got them from a great guy from Kansas City named Craig, who is a friend of 72IronMike. Thanks for hooking me up! It was a good deal and I met some really nice people along the way.

Re: Pics of restored trucks with steelies and dog dish
I had a spring shop do the springs. It sits 2-3" over stock. I restored it to factory. It's a 292/4spd,tach,tilt,posi,am/fm,a/c,wood floor,dual battery,HD options,and 8.25 x 16.5s. I added the hub caps.

Re: Pics of restored trucks with steelies and dog dish
Should be soon now. I'm in contact with powder coaters and expect to get that done pretty quickly. Now all I've got to do is find the dough for a set of knobby 33's (without the wife revolting).
