1967 c10 TBI Swap Engine Mount
I have tried to search and find the answer to my question but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
I am putting a 350 TBI out of a 1990 k1500 into my 1967 SWB c10. Just got the motor pulled out of the 90 last night. I learned from Dirty Larry's thread that the original TBI manifolds (I want to keep stock manifolds) won't work with stock 67-72 SBC engine stands: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=312391 And this FAQ shows how to adapt 73-87 clamshell stands into a 67-72: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=128765 I guess my two questions are... 1. Will the clamshell mount & stands from the 1990 k1500 adapt the same as the 73-87 ones in the above FAQ? 2. I am bolting the TBI to my th350.........Will the new stands move the placement of the motor and require me to get dirty dingo engine sliders to get the motor in the right spot to mate the trans?
