Q-jet to holley

Im going to dump this q-jet on my 305 and replace it with a holley
600 is it a strait bolt up or is there anything extra i need?

If you have a stock intake manifold then you will need an adapter. Q-Jets are better than holleys though. Just about anybody on this board will tell ya that, but if you want to put the holley on go ahead, I think the holleys do sound better but its a pain in the ass to mess with all the time.

a Holley wont give you any better performance, milage, plus they wont hold a tune like a QJet will. do your homework on the QJet, and you'll be much happier with the results. 600cfm seems a little large for a 305.

I agree QJETS are great when tuned properly. 600 cfm is a little bit much for a 305 unless its real healthy, thats one thing nice about a qjet, because of the spread bore design, its more forgiving.
I had a 570 CFM Holley on my 305 that I ran to 6000 RPMS regularly.

If you decide to dump the qjet, i'd be interested in buying it...I've got an 85 305 and I could use the spare...
