Best Method for Removing Spray in Bed Liner?

It's time to start work on the 72. The first thing I have to do is get the rubberized bed liner out of the bed. I was thinking of slathering it down with Jabsco paint remover followed up with a pressure washer and some scraping. Any better ideas?
BTW...This one is going to my 15 YO Grandson but he has to help with the project. In other words, earn it.

Mine has a spray-in bedliner. I don't know what it is, but it's very hard, a bit like sandpaper. Anyway, when I took it off the top of the bedsides I used a heat gun and scraper. That worked pretty well; chemicals didn't touch it.

I'd say some heat and a scraper fallowed by stripper gel after that. I'd wear a mask. Hope it comes out easy. Fun job. After fell I'd use a 3m finger disk to get in the nooks and crannies. Have fun with all that

I have to say that after doing the tops of the bed sides, I'm not going to strip the whole bed. Too much work.
So I'm planning on painting the bedliner with low-gloss body color. I'm told that if you spray it with Bulldog first the paint will adhere just fine. We'll see.

The PO of my truck did it also.

The hardest thing I've had to do to this truck was remove the spray in liner.

I used a combo of aircraft paint stripper, a knotted wire wheel on my angle grinder, and eventually my DA with some 80 on it.

I also have a local dustless blaster near me. I brought the front clip to him and he blasted away a lot of gunk/undercoating.

Thanks for all the input. The silly thing about this is, the inside of the bed appears to be almost pristine. I'm still scratching my head as to why someone would spray bed liner on it. They also applied it over most of the wood floor. IMHO, repainting is always better.

Is this is a modern bed liner? not the older undercoat the factory used on some of these trucks? Older under coating comes off with kerosene and some elbow grease. Probably not going to help with what you have.
