I replaced a bunch of tubular cam locks on our filing cabinet a few years back. I bought a lot of 40-50 them on ebay for around 3 bucks (shipping was about $20 though). I think there the locks your talking about. I'd like to do this mod, however, I'd try and go with a stainless set due to rust. I doubt the chrome on these locks are very good. I thought about the rust aspect too but figured sine it would be under the ldeading edge of the hood and since I live in SoCal, how bad could it get before I'd hit it with a touch of AAA steel wool and WD? I'll defintely use stainless sheet metal crews though. Make sure to post a picture thread when you do the mod so I can add pix of my install too.
