72 tow hooks on ebay

Did anyone see the set of hooks that ended this afternoon on ebay? $590? I'm almost tempted to sell mine, no, I think I'd better take them off and put them in a vault!

So...those are the extreme bend ones? Obviously fairly rare. Can you use these hooks, or are they for show? Are they correct only for 72?

Those things are getting so high, you would have to build a guard around them to protect them! The heck with a grill guard...save the hooks!

Bolt them in then weld the nut to the bolts you can grind the heads or
welded nuts off the bolt in the future if you want to remove them.

I guess they work on 2wd's, they only came on 4wd's IIRC,
they mount underneath, just behind the bumper, using a few
of the holes in the frame rails, I had a pic of this somewhere?

Re: 72 tow hooks on ebay

Man, I like how those look. Dammit if they have to be so obscenely expensive now. I know that in a few years these trucks will be like the muscle cars are now. Getting "out of reach". Hell if the tow hooks go for that much, how much is the truck attached to them?

Re: 72 tow hooks on ebay

Hello everybody. I haven't posted in awhile but I saw the thread. The hooks on ebay were mine. I am selling my heap and took them off for a few extra bucks. I thought they would go for $250-300 but oh my. I was pulling up shrubs a month ago with them. At $590, they doubled the value of my truck.
