Steering column queston.....

ok yall. i finally got my 84 parts truck here. i want to use the 84 column in my 66. im wondering, will it fit, no problems? anything need to be modified? any help is greatly appreciated.

I just put an 88 column in my 65.. Take the plastic cover off and do a mock up with the stock bracket. If you can mark where the stock mount will bolt up and weld in some nuts on the column so you can bolt it up.. You have to keep checking to make sure the ignition switch rod dose not bind on the dash.. It is not totally in yet but darn close... even the lower shaft fits right.. I am also using the 88 wiring harness an will have wiper and high beam control on the column... not to mention ignition switch too....
