Powering up the shed and a new toy

UEC dropped by today. I dug the trench with the new toy since the ground was frozen and a trencher would not do the trick. This thing rocks and now I have lights. Can work indoors on the truck round the clock now.

Re: Powering up the shed and a new toy

Toys are nice to have around, the hoist in the first picture needs to be stored in the building on the left in the second picture. So I put a 3-point hitch on it to move it around. Lot easier on the ole back.

Re: Powering up the shed and a new toy

Took off work a little early today to close the doors and play around inside. The temperature is dropping so it will be great to be able to leave the doors down and play inside for a change. Now for the heat pump and water.
It is amazing how much light the 6 HID's put out. They are wired in pairs so I can work in different areas of the shop without burning them all. I also have 8 2 X 4 fixtures to install with 6 T-8 bulbs each for the paint booth. They are water tight enclosures so should work fine. I have wired the ballasts to fire the 2 inner bulbs seperately from the 4 outer bulbs. This should give me options there as well.

Re: Powering up the shed and a new toy

Yes I know Kirk. Do you know Micheal? Kirk and Mike are always working on pulling trucks. Mike is my cousin.
Richard H. I like that setup for the cherry picker and I love the tractor weights.
Watahyahknow, another Dutch member. Edmond and Antoinette were here last Summer. We had a great time and are still trying to figure out when we can get over there to see your country. And the American muscle that is there. I want to take a tunnel cruise.
Jeffspower, don't think we have met. We will have to change that.
Edmond, the damage is all repaired and we are back to building. Maybe the next time you get here the place will be complete with bathroom and water. If anything ever happens to the house, we will be able to live in the shop. Or have guests or parties.
1BadSS, don't need anything right now. Getting ready to set the compressor and blast booth, finish a few parts and send out to the galvanizers. Then it is back to frame assembly.
Jerry, I see the NOS parts you have and we have spoken before. This may be a big toy but I do not know about better. I would love to visit you sometime and see your stuff. And if a hunt got mixed in, that would be awesome. I met another new friend this past week. Had spoken over the phone before but never met. He came here this week and stayed for a couple of days. I took him to Cabelas and some other places. Then he dropped his secret. He just purchased exclusive rights and a full camp for 60 square miles in Canada for Black Bear and Moose with fishing as well. He has invited me to come this Fall and I am trying to get it set up now. All by float plane only. I think the wife and I may Moose hunt in October.
Well, it's Sunday, back to the shed. Thanks guys.

Re: Powering up the shed and a new toy

i'm thinking about comming to the states too if i can drag myself away from my work , i want to get too some enginecompanies and meetings there too .

for you i think the best time to come here is around may i think then you could visit the keukenhof too , its kindof a showground for all the flowers we grow here fields and fields of all sorts of colour .
dunno about tunnelcruises maibe in the limestone caves at limburg
i live in haarlem myself its near amsterdam and schiphol airport we got one canalcruise in my town though .
in amsterdam there are multiple to choose from .
we have teylers museum its a kindof sience museum that got stuck in the 1800's realy old electrifyingmachines paintings and fosiles we have realy big churches with tours too , even got a hempmuseum and the city center is realy nice many buildings out of the 1800's lots of bars too , one of the first trainstations ever build in holland if youre intoo argitecture and near us is the qrucius gemaal , its one of the last standing steamwaterpumps used to dry the polders around haarlem and amsterdam , if you like i could look up some links , i dont know if you want to stay in one place and spread out from there or move around its possible to drive from one end of the country to the other (lengthwize) in about 4 hours
there a couple of places to see in the netherlands and some american meetings with great cars , we have the beach and a (former) formula one racetrack in zandvoort a small ovaltrack near lelystad and a temporairy dragracetrack at drachten , heared about illegal dragracing in the industrie sector at amsterdam but duno wat days those are .
further away we got germany with the warner bross movieworld and no speedlimit on some parts of the autobahn disney world paris in france (hope you speak french because most dont speak englisch ) the eifeltower or belgum , luxemburg its all about a day's drive away from here .

Re: Powering up the shed and a new toy

I think I have met Mike- don't know him by name- young guy with a white Dodge? I talked with him a little at a couple of pulls last year. Last I heard he was working on a slipper clutch for next year- which is the way to go. I bet it won't stop him from trying to drive it on the street. Kevin says he likes smokin cars on Belt
