Hood and or Fenders
I figure this is probably the best section to ask this in.
Are any of you using fiberglass hoods or fenders on your trucks instead of replacement sheetmetal. If you love them that's great, then it pushes me towards buying them [fenders] instead of fixing my rusted out ones. The hood, are they mounted to hinges and using the stock latch or hinges with pins or just pin on only? I need to see pictures of 60-66 trucks with either the hood or fenders. With the hood show me pics of where you mounted the hood pins. TY

I'm using the US bodysource 'street grade' fiberglass hood and front fenders. It's HEAVY,, probably no weight savings over steel, but no rust.

Meaning the pins are part of the hood, and stick down through the inner fender and pin is inserted up inside the wheelwell. I just did my taxes and reviewed my SS statement. Thanks to the current administration it looks like I will only have to work till noon on the day of my funeral. |

So having a cowled hood is the only way to get fresh air in since the front openings are closed, correct? Great idea about reversing the pins, makes for a much cleaner and stock type look.
