The "67" Duramax Stepside Build
This build started 3 1/2 yrs ago. It's my Dads old truck, and figured it was time to do something with it, being 12 yrs since my dad passed. It started as a let's just throw some paint on it and call it good! not soo much, tens of thousands later and here we are!

What he said. Love the Duramax/Alison platform and have always wanted to put one in a hot rod.

Great work! What's the intercooler from? By the way, sorry to hear of your father's passing.

Re: The "67" Duramax Stepside Build
thx I appreciate it. The intercooler is just an universal intercooler w/ piping kit off good ol ebay, brand I can't remember. All I do know is it was cheaper than a spearco!

Re: The "67" Duramax Stepside Build
I understand that. Your body pieces look great. And on the line men pic, dude you're nuts. Me and heights, don't get a long that high, so more power to ya!

Re: The "67" Duramax Stepside Build
Being this is a long drawn out project and painted the firewall and inside before we mounted the cab that way as we're finishing up bodywork I could get it running and driving in the meantime.

Very nice! Thanks. It's still a work in progress. What kind of A/C kit did you go with?

Re: The "67" Duramax Stepside Build
Old air I believe. I havent hooked it up but rather just mounted it and wasn't very happy at all with the kit! how it's supposed to mount with their soo called shaved firewall kit it's soo low it looks like crap so I stuffed it up into the glove box as far as possible and welded some taps to bolt to.

Nice burn out.
I've got to pedal way hard to be able to do that right now.
