Adding a FAST 102. What do I do for an aircleaner?
My current setup is for a 4" ducting on my air-cleaner. The 102mm is converts 4.015"? I am assuming it is an internal diameter with something like a 4.250 OD. What ideas does anyone have for plumbing this 102mm throttle body to an air-cleaner? The aftermarket has stepped up for the Camaro guys, with a special aircleaner, but I am finding nothing for the truck market.

Re: Adding a FAST 102. What do I do for an aircleaner?
On my 102, I was able to use the 4" silicon adapters. My set-up is a bit different, but I used a Airaid 4" universal tube and mounted an air cleaner behind the battery (between battery and fender). Then on the bottom of the fender, I cut a hole and covered it with a screen to keep out the crap. This allows it to have a fresh air inlet. Seems to work well.

The parts will be here today. Guess I will see if I can stretch the existing 4" over the new TB.
I have a Spectra on the existing LS1 motor. Seems the aftermarket would have something that was the correct diameter, haven't found anything so far. Thanks. |

Another source I have used for intake stuff is Intakehose.com.

Re: Adding a FAST 102. What do I do for an aircleaner?
I measured the OD is just over 4.200"
I also remembered I used a OEM Silverado intake sleeve to adapt the 4" tubing to the much smaller stock LS1 throttle body. To recap, the stock TB is smaller than 4" and the Fast TB is almost two tenths larger. Will be fun but I will get it. Thanks for the tip, I will look into the Intakehose.com. I have gotten some great links from Chevytruck's members. I did find a straight reducer the size I needed. The 4-1/4" end fits on 4.15" through 4.25" MAFs and throttle bodies, including the FAST 102. Also many lids. However, my intake needs to make a 90 right out of the TB. I have some more checking to determine if this will possible work. Cheers Last edited by Accelo; 02-04-2023 at 02:43 AM. |

On my C30 I used a spectre rubber 90 off the maf and throttle..the aluminum 4in tube I got off ebay..
All the rubber parts and filter on mine are from spectre..not sure on part numbers...been awhile

Pic of my Camaro's intake. It was 4".
One thing I do on my LS intakes is make a bracket that fastens to the bottom of the intake tube and then bolts to a tapped hole in the cylinder head. This supports the intake and moves as the engine moves. |
