Help a little frustrated

I was attempting to install a 72 throttle cable assembly into my truck this weekend and found out that it doesn't just bolt into my 70 cab. I am ok with modifying it somehow, I just need to know what to do from someone thats done this swap before. Anyone done this?
Thanks Ron

I did it the easy way, I just put a 72 cab on my 70 frame.

Thanks everyone. Well I decided to go with a Lokar set-up instead. Costs a little but their stuff is real nice.I went with the floor mounted pedal so I can put the gas pedal in any comfortable postion I want.

Anyone need a complete 72 set-up ? LOL
