Exclamation Anyone know 67/72junkie? I need my parts! or money back!

Can anyone vouch for 67/72junkie? does anyone know him? i made a deal with him about a wiring harness on 1/15/03 and sent him full payment the next day - i have yet to recieve the parts - he has written and stated that he has had family health problems so i waited - he wrote and said that he was busy trying to get a truck home he had bought - so i waited - he said he went to mail the harness but forgot my address ( instead of sending me an email then he waited until the weekend was over) he did say that he would send my money back minus shipping for the harness- so i waited - i sent him my address once again and asked him to send it next day service - and now i still wait - i have sent him pm's and it says his message center is full and he cannot get my message - i am not interested in the money - the harness if in good shape is well worth that price - it is simply the time issue - i have waited a month and i feel that is about enough - again can anyone vouch for him or am i overreacting? please help!!

Brently,I am in NV with Junkyard John.I left you haness packaged and ready to ship with my wife. If you emailed your address to my email like I requested your $30 dollars should be there anyday along with a free harness. All the good harnesses I had at the time where 72 and I did not know there was a differance in the 71 and 72 until I was double checking before shipping.I explained this to you and packaged the only good 71 harness I had witch was out of my personal truck I'm working on.I will phone my wife today and make sure that she recieved your address and sent the package. Junkie PS Junkyard John is the man, My new hero! The nicest most honest guy I have meet in along time. I rode 4000 miles on a greyhound bus to meet him and pickup my new 72 Super. If it was not for John I would have lost out on this truck and have him to thank for my new rustfree desert truck.

We chat on the board and on the phone weekly and he is a standup guy (as you can tell from his post above)I'm glad you finally made it out there to get your truck. Sorry yours and HC's schedule couldnt coinside like planned. So now you need to hurry up and get home so we can see this bad boy in person

no wiring or money!

Today is the 24th of February. I do not have my wiring or my money. For some reason the pm folder is full for 67/72junkie. I thought it was in good faith to wait and i would be rewarded but i guess not. After verifications from other people about how honest these people were i thought well maybe i am just over reacting but it has been over 10 days since this message was sent out and still i sit here with no wiring or money. Don't really know what to do now - but i will know next time.

wiringless and moneyless,
Brent

Brently give it a day or two for another reply. He just left JY Johns yesterday according to some threads. I don't know your situation, but I will say, I have dealt with 67/72 Junkie and he has always followed through and been in good contact. I can't picture someone like that just jerking you around, so give him time to get home and make it right.

One month+?? Sounds like Brent has gave it plenty of time. These guys need to belly up to the table and make things right - Come'on guys...it doesn't take but a couple of minutes to drop off the package. Sounds like to me since they have the money they're not in any hurry to ship.

It's nice to see members working out these problems in a civilized way instead of getting mad at each other.

When Brently posted this (and since I don't know Junkie) I thought the reply would be either nothing, or some defensive excuse that turns into a pissing match.

I'm glad I was wrong.

BRENTLY --- LIKE I EXPLAINED TO YOU IN AN ANSWER TO YOUR P.M. 67/72JUNKIE TOLD ME THAT HIS WIFE SHIPPED OUT YOUR WIRING HARNESS & YOUR PURCHASE PRICE OVER A WEEK & A 1/2 AGO (I DON'T THINK HE WOULD LIE TO ME ABOUT IT AS HE SEEMS LIKE AN HONEST INDIVIDUAL) SHOOT I EVEN LET HIM STAY AT MY HOUSE FOR THE TWO WEEKS WHILE HE WAS HERE, & I'D NEVER MET HIM BEFORE HE GOT OFF THE BUS. HE LEFT HERE SUN. OR MON. & IT WILL TAKE HIM PROBABLY A WEEK TO GET 3000 MILES HOME HAULING HIS HUGE LOAD OF STUFF. DURING THIS TIME YOU WILL NOT!!!! I REPEAT NOT!!!! BE ABLE TO GET AHOLD OF HIM. BE PATIENT. I UNDERSTAND YOU WANT YOUR HARNESS & YOUR MONEY BACK, BUT BELIEVE ME, I DOUBT HE IS TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF FOR A $30 WIRING HARNESS. SHOOT.... IF THAT HARNESS IS HOLDING YOU UP..... JUST BUY ANOTHER ONE...... I'M SURE HE'LL MAKE IT RIGHT TRASHING HIS NAME, & QUESTIONING HIS INTEGRITY PUBLICALLY, IS NOT GOING TO GET YOU YOU'RE WIRING HARNESS ANY SOONER. JOHN

67/72junkie

junkyardjohn - i appreciate your efforst toward 67-72/junkie - if only he would reply as much as you do i would probably either have my harness or better understand why i don't - it is not my intent to publicly humiliate this man but only to try and get some help with being able to reach him and let him know that if his wife sent my harness and money back over a week ago, it has not reached me yet - he needs to know this- thanks anyway and if you can contact him please ask him to contact me - thanks, Brent

BRENTLY ---- LIKE I'VE SAID " NO ONE CAN CONTACT HIM TILL HE GETS HOME" HE DOESN'T HAVE A CELL PHONE. I WISH I COULD HELP...... BUT I CAN'T. HE'S EITHER DRIVING DOWN I-40 THRU SOME TERRIBLE STORMS --- OR SITTING IN SOME PODUNCT CITY JAIL FOR TRYING TO GET HIS ROLLING BONEYARD ACCROSS COUNTRY WHITHOUT A PERMIT. JOHN

Since you cannot read what Junkyardjohn said about Don is on his way home then I'll do my best to get in contact with his wife.
I know that when I'm having a good time with my truck I lose track of all time til MHC says something. So Junkie did the same as me.You ask how I know this.
BECAUSE we talk all the time, about what we are doing to our trucks and life in general SO for me to believe that he is doing this intentally is out of the question.
So I will give you an answer hopefully Saturday and give a progress on his way back home.

5 weeks and no part? Worse yet, no email or calls?
There's no excuse for that. None.
I don't care what's going on with your family/job/dog/etc etc etc.
If someone pays you for an item - you ship it to them immediately upon receipt of payment.
Also for you integrity-challenged board members out there..IF YOU SAY YOU'RE GOING TO BUY A PART, BUY IT....no more "the check's in the mail" crap. If you don't have the money, don't offer to buy.
Sorry guys, but lately I've had a run of bad deals with other board members.
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but when I give someone my word, you can rest assured that I will uphold my end of the deal.
