Question 67 vent windows

I'm wanting to redo the window weatherstripping soon. In looking around, it appears that the '67 vent windows must be different somehow. Can somebody give me some insight into this? I just want to know my options in case I need to replace the whole assembly, and it appears that only 68-72 repops are available. Thanks!

Re: 67 vent windows

67 Vent window glass doesn't have holes in them like the 68-72 vent windows have. Glass otherwise is the same. The frame on the 67 has the handle mount as part of the frame. 68-72 has the handle mounted to the glass using the hole as a place to mount it.

Re: 67 vent windows

Thanks for the info. So, if I needed to replace the entire assembly, the 68 - 72 would fit but the handle would be different. It sounds like the 68 - 72 vent window was an improved design. I've noticed that the frame really flexes when it's latched, which might be the reason for the change. Thanks again!

Re: 67 vent windows

Not alot of difference, mostly the chrome lever's that lock the vent window closed. 67 have the same lever's as 64,65,66 and 67!
I have a set of 68 vent windows that are of driver shape if your interested in the 40.00 plus shipping!
Best of luck.....

Re: 67 vent windows

I might be interested, since I really don't think I'll be happy with mine after I redo them. I have a couple of questions: Is the frame chrome or painted? Is the latch still tight, or does the handle have a lot of play? Would you mind taking some pictures for me?

Thanks, Mike
