NOS vs. Repro Side Marker Lenses

Okay, I see a lot of complaints about the repop Deluxe side markers but I'm trying to find out some info on the Standard ones. My 70 C10 needs some new lenses (all around) and I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with NOS. I've searched and all I see are comments on the repop deluxe lenses or people replacing the standard lenses with smooth van lenses. So can anyone shed some light on this for me? Anyone able to show a close-up shot of a repro standard lens? I know that the originals have the word "Guide" molded into them.

Re: NOS vs. Repro Side Marker Lenses

Some of the repro deluxe marker lights have a problem with the trim rings falling off.

Re: NOS vs. Repro Side Marker Lenses

I put the repop standard ones on the Blazer, because I was not going to pay $100 for NOS ones I found. They did fine. They do come with a smaller gasket for the back so dont throw out your old gaskets because you may want to use them.

Re: NOS vs. Repro Side Marker Lenses

The trim rings fell off mine as well. Ordered some from brothers.

I just picked up and LED and might covert to all LED.

Re: NOS vs. Repro Side Marker Lenses

Where did you get yours? How long have you had them on? Any cracking or fading?

Unfortunately, my gaskets are toast.

Anyone else have good/bad experience with the standard repro lenses? Any close up pictures of them installed?
