Bouncy

It's not normal to have a bouncing speedometer needle right? I'm just guessing this is because my mechanical speedometer cable is maybe a little too bent between the speedometer and the transmission?

Yep, not normal. Tight bend(s) in cable might be the culprit. Also, any chance the cable is not well-lubed inside its housing?

I bet it's not lubed at all I'll lube it tomorrow. Thanks. I didn't even think of that.

Mine used to do that. For reasons I'll never know, the cable was not properly attached to the speedo. Got it hooked p, it's working fine.
