carburetor leaking

Guys, I know very liitle about carburetors. I believe mine is a Rochester and its leaking gas at the base. Doesnt seem to do it all the time, but got to get it fixed. I could use some advice. Thanks

Had the same problem recently:

Of course the obvious -
ensure all fittings are tight and carb to manifold
bolts are tight. if its leaking from the carb/manifold surface might need a new gasket.

Another thing to double check would be the float level - if they're not adjusted properly the bowls will fill too much and cause fuel to leak.

Try to find the model number and check out the manual - many times they will have a troubleshooting step by step section.
