Question about body mount assembly

I have a counterparts aftermarket body mount set for 69-72. My question is, do I reuse the square washer located under the front body mount? This is not the core support mount, but the actual front body mount under the floorboard. Thanks in advance.

Re: Question about body mount assembly

I have a good idea where the parts go, just not sure about that square washer. I will take a picture of this tomorrow, as my dad and I will be doing the cab swap then. Might be some trial and error, but hell or high water its getting done with pics tomorrow!

Re: Question about body mount assembly

I got a kit from class heartbeat and I had to reuse my square washers in the front. I sandblasted and painted them. mine were rusty and this is a CA truck so im sure there are some completely gone ones back east. They dont look to be anything special. just a big washer.
I wonder if those are actually just factory spacers which is why they arent in ANY of the kits.

This thread might help a little.

Just remember that the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton body mounts are different. Also the '67 & '68 core support mounts are different than the '69 up..

Re: Question about body mount assembly

Very timely my friends! I will soon be tackling this job as well. I got the kit from Classic Heartbeat....hope it works!

I plan to use my dremel tool to remove the tac weld on the forward cab bolts and I do plan to replace all bolts.

I'm getting a new radiator when I do this as well.
