Body cart ideas

I've got some ideas i've been tossing around for building a cart or some sawhorses for my tub but i'm curious as to what you all have been building.

Re: Body cart ideas

I personally feel more comfortable with a 1 piece cart as opposed to two saw horses. Seems like the one piece would move around easier and be more stable. Then of course, put some casters on the bottom!

Did you have any issues with the body flexing without any bracing??

Both look very nice!

Re: Body cart ideas

I plan on using the one like SONOSADSACK is using. I like the idea of a solid metal base while you do the sheet metal work. What are you planing with the body SONOSADSACK? same color or a complete makeover?

Jtrux
I have been very happy with this jig and as you can see in the pictures I can also put it on a rotisserie (hopefully very soon!!)

Replaced rockers next I’ll find out what ugly may hide beneath the ochre. As far as future color, I go back and forth between something new and keeping her as is.

Re: Body cart ideas

here's what mine looks like. I think I have about $100 into mine, 4 casters from harbor frieght and 2 16 ft sticks of 2 inch sq tubing.

That's pretty much what I have been envisioning in my head, just need to build it now.

I've done the same with mine. I'm thinking of keeping it original, I think it would look awesome in it's original state just new looking. Then again that Cyber Grey looks really sharp, lol see?

Re: Body cart ideas

Heres what we built. BTW... we first used some of the harbor freight castors... they started going flat after about three weeks (fwiw)... we ended up relacing those with solid tires.

Re: Body cart ideas

Yeah the harbor frieght tires go flat so I just filled them with slime or fix a flat. Now just need to get some time to work on it.
