Restoration Question

Just wondering what determines a restoration? I see "just restored " "frame off restoration" or "early restoration" on these trucks/blazers.

So I'm guessing any way you can get to that point would be a true restoration; wether it be "just restored " "frame off restoration" or "early restoration". That's my thinking.

I've seen ppl restore without removing the frame.

Makes sense, but if I do some up grades that are not original equipment (engine swap, differentials, wheels/tires and a paint job but professional) is that restored? If I were going to buy/sell is there a grade of restoration for these trucks.

The "just restored" is a fresh restore, done recent. The "frame off" is when they take the body off the frame, which allowes to get into a lot of places couldn't otherwise. And "early restoration" Means it was restored some time back, and usually starting to show it's age again.

Then it becomes a resto-mod. Anything that is a quality improvement to the oe is ok, just don't sloop it up with double antenna's for the AM radio(with fox tails) like I did in High School and you should be good to go. Build it to your taste with good quality components, we'll let ya know if you screw something up

How about the "ongoing, in process, back burner, build a building for my build restoration"
