I'm with Vance. I've never really understood the reason behind the half top.

But that's OK, because some like them low and some like them high, some like 2wd and some want all 4 hooked up, but we all love our Blazers/Jimmys.

Re: New half tops

They look amazing with a half cab. And just think how much warmer it would be in the winter.

Re: New half tops

I guess if you lived in a state where you had a mild winter but up here in idaho you would freeze your A@@ off in a hurry with that in the winter.

Not true, with the half top you don't need to heat as much interior space and therefore would stay a lot warmer running one.

There's suppose to be a bulk head there that makes it completely closed in.

Oh sorry, I forgot your new to the K5 thing and wasn't thinking about it being the lower section you were reffering to as to why it would be cold in the winter.

I never considered someone would think about running a half top 'without' a bulk head...funny how we look at stuff.

For me, I snagged one last year needing some work, it was so I could
drive long ways off to Shows and Cruise-In's without being worried if
it might rain. Just lay it long ways behind the seat between the tubs
and if I get in a jam it's about a 5 minute process to put her on. That
being said you could not have a rear seat installed. (Some do, I don't)

Boy I like that idea. If the full top wasn't so freaking heavy I would consider devising some kind of custom trailer for the same purpose. Actually I like that idea for a easy storage device as well. Hmmm, now the wheels are turning.
