Bentblazer update

Started throwing a little paint at the ole blazer today. Not quite so bent any more. This being my first paint job it seems that I've got the orange peel thing down pretty goo Looks like a lot of wet sanding and buffing ahead.

Re: Bentblazer update

Looking good. Use 3M extra cut and fine cut compound to buff it out. Slick out the truck with 1500 sand paper (a d.a. sander would be fastest) Then buff away. Btw, when buffing avoid edges and tight areas so you dont burn the paint. If that happens you get to "practice" painting again. Hope that helps a little.

Re: Bentblazer update

Looks like you laid it on real nice already.I agree on the buffing.Stay off the edges and work the flats. That color looks like a darn close match to what we put on a`68 SWB a few months back...nice!

Looks Good, my first paint job looked like it was painted on with a brick-bat.

Re: Bentblazer update

Thanks for the complements but being my first paint job it has the usual problems like dirt and clear runs. Which the pics don't show. It will probably take most of the winter to finish, lots of parts to buy.

Re: Bentblazer update

Will load more pics when all panels are back in place, and will have to scan some pics of the before shots just after a tornado laid a tree across drivers side bed side. Drivers side was 6" off ground when pulled out of barn.
