Re: Want to lower my 67 with spings and take out the rake???

isotek... ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) offers a 4/6 drop kit. I've seen people go as low as 5" in the front. Are you planning on running bags or a static drop? Check out the drop pics on ECE's website and that will help guide you for the look you are after.

Mainly you need to decide if you are going to run bags, or springs/spindles to lower your truck.

With bags you can basically bottom your tires out on your inner fender wells front/rear.

Re: Want to lower my 67 with spings and take out the rake???

I would like to try the air ride but don't want to break the bank though. I'v seen some outstanding price tags on those setups. Would 3'' and 5'' springs level the truck out?? By the way thanks for your quick reply, And also this is the first truck I'v ever customized!!!

isotek, there are different combinations that can level out the truck, but it depends on how low you want to go. Somewhere on the board there is a thread that has different ride heights of members trucks..... the location of the thread has escaped me. I will see if I can locate the thread. It will give you a little more insight into different ride heights, and will help you make your final decision.

Re: Want to lower my 67 with springs and take out the rake???

a 3/5 will level out the truck, a 4/6 is a real nice ride hight u still have a good grd clearance, but if u get much lower u will need to notch the frame, its recommend that with the 4/6 that u install a notch. so it depends on what u want. Also LMC in Lenexa KS offers a nice drop kit. that is pretty cheap, but is still of very good quality.
