My aunt (original owner, along with my uncle) calls it Old Blue, so I do too.

Re: What is your trucks name

My one truck is the '72 and the other is the '67. When I had four '72s...three 3/4t 4wds and one 2wd shortbed the 4wds were the Cheyenne Super, the Highlander, and the Sierra Grande. Then,I called the 2wd The Shortbed. My '71 Custom Camper/20 was called the camper truck.

Re: What is your trucks name

Wait, if you give it a name, that implies that you like it and consider it part of the family, right? I should name mine after my ex-wife, because it continues to take my money....

I started thinking of it as the Hornet's Nest. If you can think of three reasons why, they're probably all correct.

Is one reason because you bought so many parts at The Auto Fair? Or maybe you bought it there? I can imagine the others. Mine gets wasp nests if it sits a week in the summer...door jambs seem first. I get stung a lot when I work on it,een in the winter when no sees are around.

Re: What is your trucks name

We call one of our trucks “Dolly” because the neighbor lady of the guy we bought it from came by the day we loaded it on the trailer. She was wearing a t-shirt with two little shoulder straps and was not wearing a brazier. She was built like Mrs. Parton or better.

We bought our longhorn from a farmer in Kansas. The bed was boxed in with side panels and on the side in spray paint was the words sweet corn so we call that truck “Sweetcorn”

My project truck got stuck with the name “JT” (Jason’s truck). Sometimes we call it “Haskell” after the original owners name still on the tittle.

My driver is called “Plainview” because we bought it in Plainview TX. Boring name, we have tried to change it but nothing else sticks.

Our work/shop trucks are called “Yellow Hammer” and “Roady” because my great-grandfather had two work mules with the same names
.
I could probably tell you a few more names but you are likely getting bored by now…….Jason

My buddy jokingly called it the "Blue Dragon" once in reference to the "Red Dragon" firebird in the movie Old School and it just stuck. I hope people don't think I'm serious when I call her that.

Re: What is your trucks name

I call one 'the longhorn' and the other 'the burb' or sometimes, 'the suburban'.
As far as project names, the burb kinda got stuck with burbarific, and the longhorn is low expectations... but I seldom refer to them like that on here, and you'll NEVER hear me call them that in real life.
