Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
Got the dash from summit racing on clearance for $60.00. I bought the gauges from summit also. I used a harbor freight spray gun and I will check the tip size. The Por-15 came ready to shoot. Got it from a guy off of ebay who has a decent price. I used a quart for good coverage...

Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
The frame looks FABULOUS!! I hope you wore a self cantained breathing apparatous(sp) when shooting the por 15. That is some really bad stuff and will do severe damage to your lungs if the proper measures are not taken to prevent inhalation of the vapors.
For anybody thinking of shooting it, please take the time to read the truck safety FAQ about por 15 and follow all the labels instructions for needed PPE.

Thanks, I hope I can capture most of my build to share! Right now I am trying to decide between my stepside bed and the fleet bed I picked up. The fleet requires some bodywork. Next on my scope is to get the frame rolling with suspension parts.

You will be more than happy with the results. This is my second project that I have used it on and both times I had no problems.

Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
What kind of prep did you do on your frame? I love how smooth it looks and was wondering how you did it.
Thanks -Corey

Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
I went to the local $$$ Store and bought some oven cleaner. i got the idea from someone on this site. I sprayed the engine down with the cleaner and it started cooking the dirt and grease... I power washed it and it was clean.... The process really worked well...

Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
So,the Por-15 doesn`t need to go onto bare metal? You can just shoot it over the old paint?

Re: Painted My Frame!!!!
Taken from the Por-15 site, they say use it to coat rusty frames, floor pans, farm equipment, marine equipment, or even a heavily corroded battery tray. It has always worked great for me.
