Tilt front ends-bed
Has anyone seen or done fab work on tilt front end on the 72 C10
Im doing research this winter as production during the cold season Cost too much to heat garage. My avatar is what im looking to do with my project and planning will save lots of money and trouble. If you have any picks or links to a truck that has had this done add below

Thanks for the pic do you have any pics of the front tilt henge I was considering henging compleate radiator core support and remounting rad-condensor to frame just woundering how to mount bumper and if I can keep bumper funtional it looks like some real design stratigy is needed but I got all winter to plan it out need more pics showing henge location and bumper

Ive seen it done different ways but for strength, I made a hinge from 4" C channel back to back ][ with 1" diameter segmented pipe welded at bottom for a hinge. I then took a sawall and cut the frame and bent the top open and put in the hinge. After squareing and welding in place I the sawed the frame into allowing it to fold over.The frame ends stay entact so the bumpers just move with rest of it.

I would think that unless you use the weight forward of the hinge as a counterweight you would want it as light as possible.sneakysnake's version seems to use the bumper and frame parts as part of a counterweight.If you did not do it this way i think it would be awfully heavy to open.JMHO.
