Wink 65 OEM power steering

There is a 65 2WD frame with OEM power steering on it at a local junk yard. I`ll try to get a picture of the setup tomorrow.

Re: 65 OEM power steering

Isn't it like a hydraulic ram type set up? Kind of like a rack? I've seen a set up like that on a 66 3/4 ton, wondering if this one's the same.

Re: 65 OEM power steering

It was called power assist steering through 1966 and it used a manual gear box, power steering pump and cylinder on the steering linkage. True power steering, as we know it didn't come into play until '67. If you find a complete power assist steering, in good shape and operating properly, they bring several hundred dollar on eBay.
