Ls swap with no power steering

Has anyone on here done an LS swap on their truck and not installed power steering? Just curious as to how it runs and handles.

Re: Ls swap with no power steering

Just finished my 65 Ls swap. I have all stock suspension, steering, brakes, column and steering wheel and I have 22" transits with low profile tires. It drives, stops and turns better than I thought it would. Steering effort at slow speeds or stopped is a little harder but I blame that on my rims.

Any manual steering truck will turn better with skinnies on it, i wouldnt go too wide or you will be known as strong arm!

Re: Ls swap with no power steering

Kinda figured, wasn't sure how much the difference in weight would really make though. Still on the fence if I want to do a power steering conversion on my GMC or not. Thanks for the input guys!
