I know this has been talked about a million times on here, but I'm having trouble finding info right now. I am using a 1977 crossmember and i bought the dropped spindles for 1 inch rotors, what year c10's had the 1" rotors? Thank you

I didn't think they started those until the '80's, like '81 or '82 but I could be mistaken.

Re: 1" rotor crossmember swap

Are talking bearing? The standard spindle is smaller than the Heavy Half and/or Suburbans. The 10000# tow package on my Sub was 5 lug HH. The new spindles are now the HH versions to get the large bearings most of the time. It was hard to get the bigger version years ago now it has flip flopped.

Not only are the rotors and spindles different,... but so are the calipers and one of the bearings.

Re: 1" rotor crossmember swap

I think I figured it out, the drop spindles I ordered use the 1" rotor/caliper from a 81'-86' light duty. I thought they made all the 73'-87' in 1" and 1.25". Thank you for your help.
