Engine shakes and stalls when accelerating

Hello forum,

So I got my truck to start after one year of sitting. Engine sounds great when idle; the problem is when I give it some gas. As soon as I start feathering the throttle, the truck starts shaking and the engine dies. When I hit the throttle hard it takes it and handles it fine. I’m guessing it has to do with the carburetor, but just making sure this sounds familiar to someone and get some proper guidance. I’m running an edelbrock 1406 on a small block (1970 c10)

Thanks

^ Yup. If it goes when you cob the throttle, that eliminates the ignition. Rebuild the carb, it's one of the easiest ones around.
