'72 Interior Door Panels?

Looking for some Black Interior Door Panels for my '72 C-10, but I am having trouble finding a Standard set. All I am finding online is the Deluxe set with the Upper Scrolls. Brother's have them listed, but they are not available. Wondering if they are phasing out the Standards?

Re: '72 Interior Door Panels?

Did someone start making reproductions of standard '72 door panels? I haven't looked in a long time, but I didn't even know actual reproductions were made of the deluxe door panels. I know original parts in good condition are getting hard to find. That's all I've used and just dye my color if they are the wrong color

Tim, Not sure when but I've noticed them reproduced for a while now. Although I always believed they were Standards, although I could be wrong about that. Trying to keep my original truck as original as possible, lol.

Re: '72 Interior Door Panels?

Update on the Standard Panels. I called a bunch of places and everyone is out of stock. Most say they will be available soon, but no one has an expected date.

Reproduction 72 door panels are garbage at best. You’re much better off to find a set of originals, even if you have to respray them!

Re: '72 Interior Door Panels?

I've never known of the standard reproductions. I know of the deluxe and those aren't reproductions, they're 'replacement' meaning not made to appear the exact same. They have scroll but no stainless trim. And the factory stainless trim can't be used. They are a close facsimile made to resemble original deluxe. Cheesy at best. It could be others are made now and maybe both styles. I haven't been looking

Re: '72 Interior Door Panels?

These are the Standard Panels that were available but they have evidently stopped production, although most vendors say they will be arriving again soon:

And these are the Deluxe Panels, that should still be available now:

Re: '72 Interior Door Panels?

Ok. The standards may be ok. Hard to tell with pictures you can't enlarge. It's funny they show a much bigger and better photo of the standard than the deluxe. From the lousy picture I'm judging those deluxe panels are the LMC crap I was talking about that are made to appear somewhat the same as original yet nowhere near the same. Where's the stainless trim or holes to mount it? Not there because those panels weren't made the same. I hope the standards aren't made that way because you can use the factory stainless trim on the factory standard panels

I put a set of these in my 72 DD about six years ago, they still look great. https://www.classicparts.com/1972-Do...nfo/19%2D181B/
