WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

60-66 suburban or panel filler neck, door and sheet metal. I want to install a door and fill assembly in my 64 fleet. I have the fuel tank already under the bed.

I have a door off of a 59 nomad, it might work if you can't find anything else.

Re: WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. Is it just the door? Do you have a pic? After a quick web search, it looks to have a lot of curve. Quite a bit more than fleetside bed?

Re: WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

I have some Suburban/Panel fuel fill doors with the surrounding sheetmetal. I'll have to check and see if I have any fill tubes left.

Re: WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

Sorry but I haven't had much time with working 12hrs a day 7 days a week. I did not find a filler tube at my shop, but I should have one at home in the garage. I just need to find the time to look for it. I'll try and get to it this weekend.

Re: WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

Thanks Capt for fixin me up, it looks good to me. It appears to be easily repairable. Just to be sure I understand how these fit, the "box" will go between the inner and outer bed sides (skins) and the filler will connect to my tank on the plane between the top of the frame and the bottom of the bed wood? When it is set up like described, the curves will match?

Capt. Said "It looks like the shipping will be $21.00 which makes the total $86.00". actual shipping was $32.75

Capt, I want it. PM sent

Re: WTB 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck

I haven't installed one of these in a pickup box yet, but yes the filler tube should pass between the top of the frame and the bed floor. If you are using the Blazer tank, you may have to modify the filler tube , the tank neck or both. It shouldn't be difficult to do.

The inner box of the filler door assembly will interfere with the inner bed panel. You will need to either trim the fill door box, or make a small bulge in your inner bed panel. The Suburbans and Panels have a bulge in the inner wall to accomodate the filler box.

I replied to your PM.

Thanks for the info, I built my tank to between the frame rails.
If anyone that is following this wants to see what I built: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=428182 Post # 4.

Thanks, I have not been able to actually look a sub or panel. I’ve been trying to see from forum photos.

I believe this is going to work well.

PM sent regarding Payment

I did look at the wagon one and it is way to curved for a pickup.

By chance, do you have another one of these door setups?
