Re: Trucks in the Wild

I'm loving these last few posts. This is exactly what I wanted this thread to be. Trucks just sitting in a parking lot, or moving down the road. I love that we're still using these things. Trailer queens may look good, but this is what these trucks were built for. Thanks ya'll, and keep 'em coming!

Caught this one today leaving HF. I have seen it on and off in the neighborhood for at least ten years. Sorry about the poor focus. I guess I should wash my windows. i

Re: Trucks in the Wild

Been working the last 2 weeks in Walla Walla, so 5+ trips back and forth to and from.... I've caught a bunch of AD trucks in their natural state along the way. Tried to take pics but may have missed a few.
1st is Fuel truck 8 to 10 miles north of Walla Walla. Next is in the tow truck in Washtucna. Last is the grain truck about 9 miles miles north of Washtucna. So close , but so far away. The last truck says "You're in wheat country". And the 1st & 3rd were taken at about 60 miles an hour. The tow truck was last licensed in 74.... when Expo 74 was happening in Spokane. Still towing until then.

Re: Trucks in the Wild

Found this one getting groceries the other day. I know I took a pic from the back, too. But, I can't find it right now. If I do, I'll post it too. Owner was real nice. (Of course, we all are, right?).

It's got a side mounted spare with a nice cover, and a chrome rear bumper I really liked.

Re: Trucks in the Wild

Not sure if this is the thread to post these on, but I couldn't find a thread to post up craigslist (etc.) finds like the thread in the 69-72 Blazer/Jimmy forum. If this isn't the place for it, I can delete the posts.

Saw the stepside a few days ago in a FB group, not my truck, in Hood County, Tx.

The blue C is also not mine, and I saw it this afternoon on the drive home on 26 in Colleyville, Tx., turned around to get a couple pics in case anyone was interested. edit: If you can't zoom, the sign in the blue one says it's a '71 for $21,500, 817-308-5054.

I'm perfectly fine with those pictures staying on this thread. The more cool truck pics the better.

Here's a link to the thread you were looking for though.

This reminds me of my days shooting for "Big Cat Diary" I was fortunate to catch this rare breed "Sierra Grande" trying to hide behind vegetation at the Home Depot.

I recently (about 3 YA) sold a '68 Buick Skylark GS that was painted approximately these colors. NICE! Before my wife agreed that the new shell could be taller and have a flip-up door for loading sheets of plywood, I considered buying a long bed stepside.

Re: Trucks in the Wild

I hate that color combo but I like either as a solid or with white, very cool truck though. Love the old bed cover, slots and old school exhaust. Window vent shades are cool too.

Saw a 71 or 72 Cheyenne pass me in Myrtle Beach yesterday with a "For Sale" sign in the back window. I couldn't catch up with him to get the number or picture. :-(

Went to a birthday party at a local park and this bad boy was sitting in the parking lot. It was rough around the edges, but just how I like 'em.
