Now I thought that trucks were C series and blazers/ suburbands were K series am i right

For the most part (there are some minor exceptions) K is for 4 wheel drive and C is for 2 wheel drive.

I know all 69-72 Blazers and Jimmy's were K5's, even if they were 2wd's. I don't know if this followed into the 1973 and up years.

They changed in 87 and started calling them R and V and used that untill 91 when they ran out of sububrbans and blazers and crew cabs.

I wish GM never made that change. I hate when I say I have a chevy R10. Everyone looks at me funny "isn't that a c10"? Also, some parts stores seem to have a glitch in the system for the 87 r series. Sometimes, parts are not listed at all under the 87 truck. Have the store look it up under a 86, the part will show up correctly (usually chassis/suspension related parts). Some who aren't familiar with these trucks are only familiar with the terms s10 and c10. I give up and just call it a c10 or silverado sometimes.

They still made some regular cab pickups in 1988. I have one built in May 88.

This is true until '87, then R/V.

On the '88 OBS truck I bet $0.0001 it was a 1-ton? And/or either a Dually or C&C?

As stated earlier above, it's a 2 door regular cab pickup, no maybes about it! I have all the documentation and purchased it new. I have sent some of this to Edmunds and they are checking it out as they say the documents bear what I've told them. I do not intend to give faceless civilians paperwork from my truck. As stated before, on this website can be found pics of the 88 2 door regular cab pickup. Take a read of the first paragraph from the 1988 R / V Showroon brochure in the meantime.

You also didnt specify.. you only said it was a regular cab built in 88... If you dont give all the info you cant get upset when people want proof.

A little deductive(sp?) reasoning would tell you he's got a one ton dually as G.M. didn't introduce the new body style on a 1 ton chassis until 1990.

A pic (or a better explaination) would have cleared it up awful quick and saved a bunch of time...even without a VIN.

My reply is correct in my original post which was challenged. The poster I quoted mentioned other R /V models. My dually is a 2 door regular cab pickup. After that I stated several times it was a regular cab pickup. It is a regular cab pickup. Playing violins doesn't make anyone right when they are wrong. Everthing I've typed is true while other's statements have been wrong, rude, impugnitive, incorrect, or whatever.

deduction reasoning or assuming... without more specific information you are assuming its a dually or you are assuming its not. I guess I assumed wrong, and I wasn't the only one to do so.

Providing partial information just leaves it open for people to guess/assume what you have. GM being notorious for crossing option/parts (using left overs) into years that they arent supposed to be, it could be assumed that it was a left over.

I could say I have a 91 longbed. So what is it? A crewcab? Dually? Regular cab? 2wd, 4wd, standard, auto, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton... nobody knows unless I give them more info. I can't get upset if someone assumes wrong, because I didnt give them enough info to work with.
