Stinken Thieves

Well it happened again, this time to my son. Some lowlife used a prybar around the window to break the glass and open the door, they bent the door frame in the process. Once inside they pryed the radio out taking the amp and speakers cutting all the wiring, now the truck won't start. The wierdest thing, all the bolts to the front fenders were removed or being removed, these idiots were trying to steel the fenders and cowl hood.
This all happened early this morning, my daughter-in-law must have walked right by them w/o realizing they were there (thank goodness they didn't harm her). After she left they went back to work on removing other things then they must have accidently hit the garage door opener while ripping out the speakers that is when my son knew something was up. He went running out side seeing a white truck 73-78 with a big old diamond plated rear bumper painted white like the rest of the truck speeding away.
Now for the clincher, the police and sheriff argued whos jurisdiction he lived in, finally after two hours the phoenix police showed up apologizing for the mix up.
Man I am so tired of these stinking thieves

Re: Stinken Thieves

Thats why I don`t even bother to lock my truck. They are going to get in anyway so why make it so that have to damage the rest of your truck? If they want my stereo they can have it. I don`t listen to it much anyway. Replacing the radio is easier than trying to fix some damaged body parts.

Sounds like young people. Chasing radios is not what the seasoned adult criminal would do. Hope you nail the punks.

Re: Stinken Thieves

Man thats a tough break. Good thing your daughter in law didn't get hurt. You guys must live near a big city. I'm lucky I live in the country where this sort of thing is kind of rare. It does happen to be sure, and has happened to me. Some kid tried to steal my tractor. It was late at night and dark, real dark. I heard noises outside the house and went out to investigate and took my hogleg out with me. Saw what was going on and snuck up behind his sorry butt. With his head no more than 5 feet away from me I fired a shot just over his head. A 44 mag makes lots of noise. The kid peed all over himself, actually thought he was shot. Had to yell at him to lay down on the ground. I'll bet his ears are still ringing. Called the cops and they came down. I know the trooper who showed up, he arrested me once for punching some guys lights out while trying to find out why he was on my property. I told him exactly what happened and he laughed, thought it was funny. Told me they knew this kid rather well. They hauled him off. Trooper told me he was glad I din't shoot him. I told him if the kid had been in my house I would have.

The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose.

Guess after 3 breakins in 3 different areas around town that here in Phoenix we don't have the brightest thieves.

Yup, I would have stolen the whole truck if it were me also. Only thing is ,I'm not a thief. To bad killing thieves is illegal.

You might want to look at this, while 44 in the US over all, last year they were 7th in larcency and theft, 24th in vehicle theft, 19th in property damage and rape. Scroll to the bottom table that lists the national ranking for categories.

http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/utcrime.htm

This table lists the worst to best:

Re: Stinken Thieves

Truthfully I'd like to wire 200 volts to it just to give them something to think about, but I'd probaly get sued or perhaps place a rattlesnake in there.

Re: Stinken Thieves

makes no sense. If they were going to steal the fenders and hood...it would have been easier to steal the whole truck. I lived in Phoenix about 10 years ago. Those thieves are getting stupider now.

sorry about the truck
