Re: 83 emission diagram

I had the same problem with my dad's truck. I found what I needed at the local library in the shop manuals...

Re: 83 emission diagram

Hey, here's one for a 305 GMC, low altitude, non-CA pickup. (Should be very similar if not the same.) I found that, for some reason, this diagram (DDZ) isn't in any of the idiot books and 83 is a very hard year to find diagrams.

Hope this helps-

-Todd

Yo- I just saw you are from CA. Bummer. Here's a linky to Autozone's repair info and a long list of vac diagrams:

If my previous doesn't help, hopefully you can find it in the link.

Re: 83 emission diagram

thanks for the pictures guys... i have the sticker under the hood that I have used for reference. I am looking more specifically for the little vacuum lines that come off of sensors that are not listed on the diagram (should have been more specific).

There is one on the front of the intake next to the temp sender that has 2 vacuum lines going to it ( no idea what it is for or where it goes but it is there). anybody have an fsm that they could scan a couple pages out of. I plan on getting one as soon as I finish the motor swap.

Thanks

Re: 83 emission diagram

What you're describing sounds like either the EFE TVS or the EGR/PURGE/TCC/TVS on mine. I would take a shot of the engine, but all of mine fell off when I dropped in the new motor.

Good luck-
